Yesterday I bought a Contour, today some light is on. I don't have a manual so I don't know what the light is.

It's blinking red and is located above the clock area near the 'Contour' logo .... what izzat?!

CEL? Airbag? ABS?

And you are right, it is a flashing passive anti-theft system light.

Welcome . The Owners' Manual will have a description of where the Check Engine light is. It should be in Yellow when you turn the keys to on.
