this just started happening recently, after my car has been off for a while and i start it up again, i'll start going and right as i accelerate i hear this noise that sounds like a gay guy screaming. anyone know what could cause this?

it doesnt quite sound like a moose, its pretty high pitched, the first time i heard it i really thought there was some weird guy screaming next to my car. it scared the crap outta me
ok, the sound isnt exactly like a gay man screaming. i listened to it with the radio off and its a loud beep. anyone know what it is?

well, i have no clue how to post a sound clip, so i'll describe it as best i can. right when i start accelerating, its kind of a high pitched BEEP. not as high as say a ferraris horn, but its really loud and attracts a lot of attention. i dont know how else to describe a beep
Serpentine-belt-slipping sound? You may need to check pulleys. Is the Battery/Charge light coming on too? If not, then check A/C compressor or power steering pulley.
actually, my A/C hasnt been working. could be something related
belt is slipping or pulley bearings are going
its just like a warning beep or something. thats what it sounds like. doesnt sound like a belt or anything. sounds like a projected beep. it happens right when i reach a certain speed. probably around like 5 mph

anyone? i have to know soon. it is really embarassing pulling out of school and having that thing go off. it only happens on startup. not while ive been driving for a while
belt is fine, but how do i know which pulley has the bad bearings? i dont really want to take it all apart to find out it isnt a bearing problem
