i have a '96, and i just got to 41,000 today. my only problems have pretty much just been wear-and-tear stuff that needed to be fixed.

How can you be called a Contour enthusiast if you barely ever drive the Contour?

(eh, I shouldn't be one to talk, but still...)

I posted in the high milage post but i'll post here too. I have a 95 Gl with 51K and change. Ive only put about 2K on it this year. In fact I haven't had to change the oil since late last year. Haven't put 3k on it yet. How about that??????

While your mileage is quite impressive...I THINK that you should change your oil more frequently...mileage is NOT the only factor in determining change frequency. Oil that is a year old cannot be good for your car...no matter how few miles you drive! *unless you are running some mobil 1 or equivalent*

well in about one week I'll have the lowest of all... on the engine anyway.. having a new engine put in because I just couldn't stand to be away from my 'tour... so yay for me lol.

I bought my 99 SE Sport with 46k on it back in late July, though I rolled 56k last night. Oh lordy, I'm probably going to hit 100k by next summer. Sigh.

35920 god awefully hard miles on my 2000 SVT in 3 years, 10 months, and 4 days.

Compared with 39000 miles on the wife's 02 Z24 in 1 year 10 months.

I bought this one in Aug 98 so that would come out to 5823 miles per year. But then too my 85 Vette has 83200 which is about 4380 miles per year.

theres one in the classifieds with 9,300 miles. its about half way down. it is a 2000 though, so its not that old yet.

theres also one with 25,000 i think.

I know of a tropic green 2000 SVT with less than 5,000 miles on it . It's owned by a guy named John Parr . He's not a CEG regular , but the car was at SZ-01 with about 4,500 miles on it . Immediately after that it was put away into storage . He drove his BMW 6-series to SZ-02 (another immaculate ride) .
Posted By: 2&1/2 Re: How about LOW mileage Tours? - 11/04/03 03:44 PM
Well when I bought my 99 SE it had 4900 miles on it, and that was July of 2003. To date the car just rolled over 15k, and I think that was on my way into the office this morning.
