Finally did it!

I just officially committed to purchasing a 1998 Black CSVT with 76k miles on it.
This will be my first car and im glad i made it a Contour!

I will most likely be completing the transaction on the car tomorrow and i will post pics as soon as i can!!!

My advice, get an oasis test done on the car and make sure the wiring harness recall was performed

how and where do i get this "oasis test" done?

any ford dealer can do it, they basically take your VIN number and run it through the ford network to see all of the recalls performed.

I was told the 98's Wiring harness has a tendency to go bad, much like the 95's Ive seen cases of people with bad harnesses in their 98's

Either way, learn something new every day... Still couldnt hurt to have an oasis test ran. there are a couple other little recalls that might still need to be done.

Just finished my first 7 hours with my new CSVT and I LOVE IT!!!

yessir...i worked all summer and bought her...

SVTC's are cheap... in fact my svt cost less than what I paid for my zetec years ago... so expect to see a good many people having first time cars being a svt.

i LOVE it...i didnt think it would be as quick as it is...(i have been driving my moms PT cruiser for the summer until now)

i cant wait to drive it more!

Well, I'm about to complete my BS at UofM. Good to see another WLW student here. Man, I haven't been to that school in ages. Last I saw they had a red LED welcome screen! (I'm really old school

) Do you guys still have the chaldeans driving their Escalades in the parking lot? Don't ever park there in your tour, people can't drive worth ish. Well, that is unless you can park in the honor student lot. Regardless, I took the bus and drove an Aerostar my senior year. Man, I feel old now!

i am gonna drive it to school but park WAY back by the football field and yes the chaldeans still do drive their escalades.

HAh! Parking in that lot was a nightmare. Aside, from all the idiots that drove there, there would be broken glass all along the parking lot, total PITA. Good luck w/the parking.

thanks...and btw...the lot isnt as bad as u describe it to be...its not full at ALL!!!
