What should I take....?

I have been offered a generous opportunity to pick up some parts for the contour from my cousin. She had an 98 SVT (wrecked in front, air bags gone).

My car is:
'96 GL
zetec
auto
completely stock

I know that little or anything in the engine is usable. I am assuming some of the stuff will be interchangable such as the power door locks. Mabye the instrument cluster?

What do you guys think I should take and how much should I offer (if they'll even take my money)?

soo many things, you could gut the whole car.

If you are taking items for use in your Zetec, these and the instrument cluster won't be of any use to you. If you are taking stuff for sale, then almost anything is game.

Take your front clip with the Zetec and put that on the SVT...

You'd have the only "real" 4 cylinder SVT!

Get the moonroof motor/gears. I saw one on ebay go for over a hundred bucks very recently.

Yes, get the car; especially if it's very very cheap. You can part it out here on the site. There are a lot of needy CEGer's that need weird parts. If you have the whole car, you're more likely to have the rubber bushings for a glove box; for example.
