Have some front end work to do, is this worth buying?

I have that one, I like it, most do not though because its a clicker type and not a arrow type...

I picked up a similar one from Advance for $25.

Would it be advisable to get a 1/2 inch one rather than 3/8 I need to replace my control arm and wheel bearing.
