So...does it suck or is it cool? ARRRGH!!!

It is cool, but is kind of dated looking and a bit overdramatic...

Note the pre-'98 console.

I liked it. Reminds me of BMW commercials. Anyone know - were the wheel centers plain on early cars - no SVT logo?

That's not mine, it had a sunroof. Mine does have the black SVT motor plate like that one. My wheel center caps have the SVT, but they're silver (wheel color), not black. I believe that one is probably one of the prototypes.

if its the SVT promo video then it isn't a commercial, only commercial that I know of is a Mexican commercial and most of it is animated

also there are alot more differences, the tail lights, Mystique rear reflector, center console, etc ...

You and I have vastly different feelings about that vid....

at the end of the video it says available march 1997. SO initially these so called 98 contour svts were actually made probably in late 1996?????? How does a 1998 is 8 yrs old when its ACTUALLY 10 yrs old. Weird.

That's just how it goes with vehicles...

Wow .. how many times will we go over this this week .. first CSVTs were made early November 1996. #6 and #9 were dated November 12 1996.
