Just like the sunject sounds.. How many of you were the orginal owners of your contour and still have it.
Was jus curious if there were still any off the floor room owners still floating about.
I drove my baby right off the new car lot in September of '98. It's paid for, and only 53k on it. Other than typical recals, it's never left me stranded or given me problems (except for the occasional cold-weather cold-engine stall). You'd have to car-jack me to get it away from me.

Original owner here! Purchased in August of 2000, and was the last one they had on the lot. One of the last 75 CSVT's made, and I now have 87k on the clock.

my dad was the first owner of my 95 way back in 94.
Im now the second owner of my SVT tho.
First Owner since Jan 96.
Second owner of my car (techinally my mom is just to keep the insurance down). The previous owner was the United States, my car was a fleet car for the US Navy.

ROTFL. I'm just slow. 
. Actually, I didn't know of "car-web-site-thingies" until the CEL started lighting up all the time and the indie said "need to change the catalytic converter" without even doing a test. I went online and found some info on P0420 but lurked for about 6 months before registering and posting.

I was the 2nd owner of my '95 SE - bought it in '97 w/20k on it - traded it in on my SVT
I'm the original owner of my '00 CSVT - bought in Jan '01 - the 13th from the last CSVT made (on 2.4.00) , so that makes it #11,432 of 11,445 SVT Contours ever produced

Well, I am the first "person" to own my SVT, but it already had 33k miles on it when I got it in June 99.
It was a leased vehicle to someone in/near Atlanta GA but the only previous owner was FoMoCo (or whoever owns the cars Ford leases).

I drove her off the lot back in '99. Mind its only a LX 4cylinder with power nothing but I bought it all by myself. I wish I had the $$$ to buy the SVT back then. No big problems with 77,5XX miles on it.
2nd owner, bought my 98.5 svt in 2002 with only 18,500k. The thing still had original tires, un modded, still smelled new on the inside, guy traded it in so he could buy an LS v8 with the six speed.
It came with original window sticker as well
Original owner, built 4/97, purchased 5/97, now with 136,xxx miles on the chassis, but 22,xxx on the 3.0.
Second owner.
My sister and her husband purchased it new off the show room floor late in '97 (it's a 98MY built in 9/97). I purchased it from her earlier this year with 96K miles on the clock. Base model (not even a GL) V6 ATX T.Red exterior/Prairie Tan interior.
And a CEL I haven't checked out yet

Oh dang, you beat me. Ours had 12 miles when we drove it off the lot. But a couple of those was our test drive. I remember my wife chirped the tires and was sold on the V6. Still have the window sticker.
We've had no major problems, engine is still strong etc., but a lot of smaller things have been going wrong the past couple of years. It's been a bit annoying, but we love the car. These problems have sparked my interest in learning more about it and upkeeping it, etc.
We did actually own 2 black Contours at once. We had our '98 bought new, and I needed a commuter car. The dealer that sold us the '98 said we just got this one in on a trade and handed us the keys. We walked out and just laughed at a '96 Black Contour. It was a Sport with the Zetec and I drove that for several years. Finally traded it in on our van.
I still miss that driver's seat though.
2nd Owner, bought it in April '03 w/27,500 on her and for less than half of the originall sticker price.....
She is now pushing 94k on the clock and a couple of battle wounds from along the way.. Never had any major prob's with her either.........

I picked it up with 35 miles on it, now it has nearly 162K!
Original owner, car built 12/98 and delivered to dealer all of 30 miles from the factory.
I'll probably also be the ONLY owner, when I'm done with it, it will be ready for the junkyard. Already almost at the 200K mark.
Bought my Contour GL in 1996. Still Box stock.
I bought my SVT Contour in January 2001 to save money I was paying on gas & payments on my 98 cobra. I saved $5000 from retail on a brand new Contour by waiting so long to make the switch. No regrets, except I do miss the sound of a high revving V-8.
Bought new Sept 98. As of today, 44167 miles. Replaced 1 fuel pump and 1 tie rod end and that's it!
I was to busy driving all of the time, and did not find about the sight until I had a problem. Now I am an addict, well that is what my wife says!!!!!!!!1

I bought my 98 LX on august 9 1999 brand new (long story) and it currently has 63000. Only mods are magnaflow exhaust and new stereo

that's averaging 5500 miles a year ... I've put over 5500 on my Maxima since purchasing it in December, and I don't even drive every day ...

2nd owner of my '99 Silver Frost SE, bought it 10/2004 with 36-37k miles on it. I Even have the original bill of sale which comes in at just under $20k. Pushing 58k miles and still runs like they day i bought it
. The only thing major I've ever had to replace was the rear struts. However I'm getting a clutch put in soon, but that's just cause i want something stronger than a worn down stock clutch.
original owner. purchased brand new (still had plastic on the seats) 7/18/2000 with 17 miles on her. now has close to 46,000 miles.
