Well, I had some deals recently where someone could have ripped me off easily, but they came through. I thought I'd post my experiences here so that others know who is good to work with. Now, please don't flame people for small things here. Only post negative comments if they ripped you off, not if you felt packaging wasn't up to par or something stupid. It could ruin our classifieds if certain people can't sell because of small mistakes that got posted.

I recently bought endlinks from Stazi - as everyone knows, he's the man to deal with, so I'll just say it was buisiness as usual - prompt, courteous, professional, top quality.

I got my GCs and Konis from X (Liquid X), and he was great to work with as well.

Aussie bar from Lee - got me pictures of it and shipped promptly.

SeTour95-3 had his shipping depot lose the part he was sending me, and refunded me my money right away when I didn't get it. He managed to work with me even though he had to go to Alaska on a buisiness trip!

Bobby Levasseur (can't remember his display name) was great to work with as well - paypal screwed up and he ended up with too much money, but he returned it right away.

Thanks guys, I'd never have been able to afford to mod such an old car without good deals on used parts from honest CEGers!
I'd like to add that both sunroof gear guys are top notch. I have ordered from both of them and actually had a problem with both (might be my motor) and they called me when I sent them an email. In addition, I have purchased a bunch of things off of chknhwk (john) and he has always be awesome about it. I've gotten winter tires, aussie bar, mirko...

Glad to see that you are having goo experiences. I know this probably wouldn't work here on CEG but on my other forum there is a buyers / sellers feedback forum. Oh well

Ordered optimized throttle bodies on two separate occassions, great craftsmanship, prompt delivery of both product and core charge.

Buckshot A + + rating.

For CD-ROM's I recommend todras. That guy is the balls. Of course Bill Jenkins is awesome. We should almost have a black ball list. I haven't had a problem with anything I've ordered. Knock on wood.

LOL. In all seriousness, Todd's good for it. I ordered Wednesday night around 11 PM (for snail mail delivery), and it arrived in the mailbox on Friday by 3 PM.

Steve Tousley, headlights. Friendly guy, easy to deal with, excellent packaging, killer prices, delivered in three days MN. to CA. Another A + + rating in my book.

Edit your post.. that is STEVE (last name unknown) who works AT Tousley Ford.

Bill (Jenkins) works at TeamFord Las Vegas

FWIW: BOTH are great guys.. ordered MULTIPLE hundreds upon hundreds from both, and never a problem A+++ for both.

A+, No problems

I have sent PM's, gotten the read reciept, but never a reply, but it was only $5 so I don't particularly care that much. If you read this please let me know whats going on...

I bought an intermittant wiper stalk from Paul Martin. Exactly what I wanted for the price I wanted. What more could I say ??
Posted By: RogerB_dup1 Re: The CEGer sales ratings thread. - 09/29/05 04:34 PM
I bought a used MSDS Y from Bob Birk. Thing arrived like one of those ACME boxes in the old Warner Bros. cartoons. Anyway, I had a short delay in getting the money order purchased and sent, and I told him as much. He said "no problem" and then he shipped the thing anyway, before I even had a chance to get the check in the mail, so the pipe and my check passed each other in the mail. And oh yeah, the part arrived well-packed and in the exact condition he described. Better, even.

Definitely A+ and a straight up guy, in my experience.

----------------------

On another note:

This is probably too petty to name names, so I won't, but I think it's instructive.

The "incident" was that the seller and I had made a deal on an item. Before we "shook" on it, I asked if it would be OK if I waited a couple of weeks so I could put it on the next months credit card bill. He said, "sure, no problem."

Two weeks later, as promised, I delivered the money via Paypal, only to have it returned with the note that he had sold the item out from under me without so much as a "how ya doin?"

Now, the good news is that he was honest with my money. The bad news is he didn't hold up his end of the bargain, and that's a breach of integrity (i.e., really not cool, in my world). His "word" means about nothing to me, now, even if I did get my money back.

I relate this story only as an example of what I consider bad behavior. If you are a seller, I think you need to be aware that there's more to a "good" sale than everyone walking away with the right amount of money. If I shake on a $20 deal with you, I expect to get $20 even if somebody else offers me $30 the next day.

Oh yeah, SVT Pete! I ordered SS brake hoses from him. Well, I PM'd him and we had the paypal done in about an hour. That was Wednesday: I had them at my door on Friday! USPS Priority mail (he was covering shipping, his choice) and prompt action by Pete worked out great for me.

Elky...A+
Mesh GB. Very friendly and easy to work with!

99RedSVT...A+
Organized the Ebrake and Shift boot GB with Redline.
Paul took a great deal of time to make sure that the product was quality. Also, he took the time to write up a how-to with pictures (OK, so I took the pictures ). When there was a problem he wrote to Redline and kept on top of things.

AJUSA...A+
Great people to do business with. There was a mix up on my first order, my plug wires ended up in Plano, TX (suppliers fault). When I reordered they were extra careful to make sure I got them, they arrived within three days.

B= Good shipping, decent communication
C= Did their job, average
D= Got my stuff but the service was terrible

Stazi- A+++++++ This is one guy I am very greatful to have met!!!!

Terry Haines- A++++++++++ Understood my situation and got my trans done very quickly!!! The communication through it all was very good.

Marty (MSDS)- C. There was a major lack in communication and trust. I was told one thing and made one too many promises that were broken. This was an unenjoyable experience.

Auiotour- D. Lie after lie, problem after problem... took 2 months to get a couple LED's. But I did get the stuff...

SP- B. No real complaints

Street racer parts (indiglo GB)- C. Nothing impressive... Kind of messy...

Thats all for now

AWESOME guy, i have met him, being that i buy things from him all the time, Tousley is like 20 minutes from my house... I call him, order what i need (often in stock!) and go pick it up like the next day when he calls me back (if not in stock). He can even get Ford Racing parts at a discount! I've even spotted him at local car shows he's got a FSVT

Has anyone had experience with SVTCuervo? AKA Ram Motorsports. He posted a group buy a while back of ongoing deals he has of Spec Clutches, Flywheels, and Quaife's LSD (sp?) I had sent him a PM a while back about ordering them but i haven't heard from him ever... anyone else tried?

Posted By: KingpinSVT Re: The CEGer sales ratings thread. - 09/30/05 07:25 PM
Can we just pin this in GB if we cant have a feedback forum?

I cant remember all of who Ive delt with over the last 2 years or so, but Stazi (brakes, wheels) and tour96se (splitter) stick out. Both A+. Tour96se stepped up and made the mirko deal happen (I really didnt want to give up). It took a while to get the shipping straightened out, but we got it taken care of. Elky (mesh) and Scott60d (shifter/plate. wasnt it you???) also are great to work with.

Most of the big vendors get good ratings from me as well. BAT, SP, and CTA are all great. MSDS was great for me. A few others as well, cant think of them right now.

Man Ive given stuff away for free (even covered shipping!). Wheres my feedback [Idomin8]?
Posted By: amarv12_dup1 Re: The CEGer sales ratings thread. - 09/30/05 07:58 PM
I haven't really bought a ton of stuff from fellow CEG'ers, but here's my list:

*Susquehanna Motorsports ( www.rallylights.com ) - I could not be happier with the service, products, and support I've gotten from these guys. Projectors, connectors, bulbs, terminals and relay kits, etc... always super fast shipping, orders always correct...everytime i called to ask questions or get info they were very helpful...great group of folks over there. I'll gladly give them my bussiness in the future.

*BAT - Got the euro handling kit delivered in less than a week, whenever i called to ask questions and get info, they were always cool with me, helpful, and i'm very satisfied with the product as well.

*auiotour (Llane) - cool guy, always got my stuff shipped out promptly, never had any snags...dunno why he left the site...seemed odd the way he left, too bad...

*Buckeye/Cardoc (Dominic Nudo) - Bought a bunch of stuff from him in the past, shipping wasn't always the fastest, but he's a busy guy...when i broke a set of indiglos, he hooked me up with a set at a discount...i was happy with our interactions, bought a bunch of stuff off of him...

*Stryped (Chad) - Got the headrest patches from him...good to deal with, delivered the product as promised...smooth transaction

*LivinSVT (Brett) - Brett is a good guy, bought his SVT exhaust off of him, when we discovered that the exhasut would not fit in my car, he was kind enough to drive it out to an exhaust shop for me...good stuff!

*THE Stazi - What can i say?...the stazmeister has helped me out numerous times and has come through for me every time...he's good to deal with...i'm glad he lives so close, if i ever get in over my head, i shall push my car 10 miles to his house.

*www.leetransport.com - bought some LED stuff from these guys, great group of folks, very helpful, great prices, fast and cheap shipping...good stuff

*www.tirerack.com - Good prices, fast shipping, quick and super easy...bought 2 sets of tires already, will not hesitate to give them bussiness in the future

*www.superbrightleds.com - bought some stuff from them, performance of products was poor, prices at the time weren't so great, don't much care for this vendor

*The ford dealer sites... i've bought stuff from www.fordparts.com www.fordpartsonline.com and Steve at Tousley... pretty much all of them were helpful quick and easy to deal with...no complaints

I think i've gotten other stuff, but i can't remember...
Posted By: OB1 Re: The CEGer sales ratings thread. - 09/30/05 08:33 PM
I might have overlooked it but I didn't see anyone mention Pole120. Great guy, quick shipping, does good work! Thanks again Pole, I know I was supposed to take pics but I couldn't slow down long enough, I wanted it installed as quick as possible!
Posted By: Y2KSVT Re: The CEGer sales ratings thread. - 09/30/05 09:05 PM
SPMotorsports - Joe is awesome. Super nice guy, willing to go the extra mile for his customers. I've ordered a TON of stuff from them and have had nothing but good luck with them. Not to mention, Joe donated a set of 19" wheels to Spring Zing 05, and a Beltronics Performance Meter!!

CTA Motorsports - Ordered the Polyurethane tranny mount insert and had awesome delivery time. Chris also donated to Spring Zing 05 with a front/rear set of KVR brake pads.

Stazi - Have ordered his Gen I mesh, a set of front/rear brakes, and a Magnaflow resonator. All were shipped out right away, and he was kind enough to come down a day early for Spring Zing 05 and install my nitrous kit and a FSVT fuel pump. Stazi is the man, and I don't know how he does as much as he does in these 24 hour days!

MSDSinc. - Marty is one cool dude. Super easy to deal with, and runs an awesome business. I had an awesome experience with my header purchase from him almost 3 years ago. He's a car nut like everyone here!! He's volunteered several group buys, and even donated a FULL SET OF HEADERS & Y-PIPE to Spring Zing 05!!

Mirko Racing - Unfortunately I didn't have the pleasure of ordering my Mirko directly from them, but I've only heard good things about their business. They did donate a couple of Mirko Racing MAF adapters to Spring Zing 05, and were kind enough to send us a letter that went into detail on their business. Very cool people!

Pole120 - Josh is a cool guy that is definitely a CEG innovator! He also donated a Poly-filled roll resistor to Spring Zing 05.

Tirerack - Luke is one of the coolest guys I've talked to over the phone when ordering stuff for the car. Not only did he set me up with the perfect tire selection for my driving style, but he went on to tell me about his own experience with them. Shipping was very fast, and I'm extremely happy with these tires!

www.gotwheelsandtires.com - These guys were FAST! They didn't have any of the wheels in stock that I was looking for, but they located a set and had them to my house within a week! Not only that, but they were well below the competitors prices!

Extrude Hone - Another Spring Zing donator! Donated a voucher for a free Extrude Hone pass! If this doesn't impress you, then the fact that they've offered a couple of group buys on passes should. Awesome people!

Corey - Not sure what the name of his business is, but he had my Koni/Eibach suspension to my door within a week! He was very quick to respond to my emails, and very much willing to work with me. Not sure if he's still around, but I give him a big thumbs up!

Brenspeed - Brent was awesome to deal with when ordering my Xcalibrator-2, and has better customer service than any company I've dealt with. He's always answered my calls, or returned my voicemails and emails. Definitely should be considered when looking for your next tune. www.brenspeed.com

I'm sure I'm missing some people, but this is what comes to mind right now.

nobody has mentioned PowderCoating World yet.. well 2 big unhappy thumbs down from me on the whole "I'll Powdercoat anything" group buy that was held on here in April/May.

He's had my MAF/TB and full set of Valve Covers for almost 5 months now. I'm currently out all my parts and almost 300.00 PLUS I have a 3L project on hold because I need those parts for the build.

Every email I have sent has gone ignored - every PM that I have sent either says "so sorry they will go out Monday" or again goes ignored. Any phonecall goes directly to an answering machine which never states who its for.

Absolutely the WORST transaction I have ever had and am going crazy with hate.

DO NOT GIVE HIM YOUR BUSINESS!

I'm in the same situation. I sent a spare set of valvecovers i had, my svt UIM and throttlebody, that section of intake that the iac hose attaches to, and my MAF and MAF adapter last June. My order totaled over $400.

At first communication wasn't bad. But then i was told that his oven took a [censored] on him and he had to build a new one. Since then i've barely gotten a reply from him. All of my emails have been ignored. And almost all my PM's to him on these forums have gone unanswered as well. But then i finally got a PM from him on here on the 8th of August:
Quote:

Re: Parts
From: PÃ?â?¢WDÃ?â?°Ã?®CÃ?Ë?Ã?Æ?TMÃ?â?¬Ã?Æ?
Status is COMPLETE ---thank god !!! Will send you tracking info ASAP

Happy that he was finally done i waited for shipping info...which never came. So, i started the whole emailing/PM'ing process over again. To which he never replied to them...again. Then, i get an email on the 25th of August in which he said:
Quote:

Greg@powdercoatingworld.com wrote:
OK man , I finally got all the BS out of the way and all your stuff done .....want a pic of your TB and UIM ? just for a tease

At this point i'm a bit agrivated so i email him back and said that i don't care for a pic, i just want my stuff back.
Now, here we are, a month later and STILL NO [censored] WORD FROM HIM!
Thankfully, somebody gave me his phone numbers since he doesn't list them on his site. But, like NVMYCAT, all i get is a machine to which the person doesn't even indentify themselves. It's just "We're not here, leave a message." Hell, for all i know i'm leaving messages at some strange dudes house. The cell number isn't any better...
I don't wish to start flaming him or to start a hate thread here. I just want my stuff finished and back in my hands. It's been almost 4 months now. I want to know what the hell is goin on. Is my stuff finished or not, and if so, what the hell is taking him so long to ship my stuff back to me.
Also, i'd like to add that at present moment my car has no MAF or IAT sensor. The MAF is with him and the IAT is just sitting out in the open. There is no place to put it as my intake consists of a stock UIM/throttlebody, then goes to the accordian tube and then strait to a cone filter. I don't want to cut the accordian to just so i can put the IAT sensor back in the intake path. Where as my car is still drivable, it's just not a good idea to drive it a lot. So i only start and drive it if absolutely neccessary. I absolutely need these parts back now. The body work is almost complete and i don't want to have to drive it back home without those intake peices if i can help it. I could have it towed, i supposed. But i really don't want to see my fresh body work and paint screwed up by some hillbilly jackass that don't give a [censored].
So is there anybody that can help us out in this situation?

I did mention him b4, "9) Josh aka PowderCoatingMan (sp?): A" and I never had any problems with him.

bought used magnaflow mufflers from Bobby Levasseur (can't remember user name) and was very fair. sent me pictures of items, they were just like the pics and just as described. shipping was quick enough.

just bought k&n from ajusa and they sent me the wrong one...will get back with everybody on their customer service to let you know how they handle it.

bought a sunroof motor assembly from kaotic1100 and was as described...wrapped up real nice too. sunroof motor gear stripped with first use though. not sure why that happened. didn't look stripped before hand, but definitley was afterwards so it wasn't his fault. fixed now though.

I bought an air filter from ajusa and they got it (from k&n) for me quickly.

BAT, CTA, bill jenkins, fordpartsonline.com, zxtuner, tirerack, kkm, jcwhitney, summit racing, and discount tire direct have all done well for me.

I know this thread is getting a little old, but I have to spout off about an online e-tailer that I think is absolutely terrible.
Don't anyone ever order anything from StreetStyler.com I have been going around and around with them for over 2 months about the REV X's I have ordered. Don't want to bore anyone with the details unless you really want to hear them. If so, PM me.
I know they don't deal with much for our cars except maybe the wheels and they are more for the ricers, but please do not use them.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Are you talking about member ratings or sales ratings?

For detailing there is only one, one worth the drive, one who you can trust your most valued Tour with, one who knows what he's doing and only uses the BEST products out there...ME

I used to sell/have made the dead pedals, but that was some time ago, but I know this, I sold over 70 of them in about 3 years time and only ONE got sent to the wrong house and that was because the check said one thing and the envelope said another. I had to eat that one

Sales ratings. SVT Performance recently installed the hack, and its similar to ebay's feedback. I thought it was stupid at first, but its actually pretty good. Gives you a warm fuzzy about who you are dealing with and who not to deal with.
Posted By: wa2tuff Re: The CEGer sales ratings thread. - 12/29/05 03:04 PM
The only 2 problems I've had are with people who've been banned. One was ContourSVT98 and his (censored) painted headlight fiasco. He had my headlights for almost 4 months. The other one was the indiglo gauge GB from a couple years ago that put over $2000 into xxxxxx's pocket. I can't remember the guy's name but I think it was the second longest GB thread. The worst one is currently at 127 pages.

Everyone else I've dealt with have been fine. Some have been much better than others, but no one has been so bad that I'd complain about it here. I also agree that this post needs to be set up so it can take a complete form where votes/plus's/minus's, etc can be added to so we can get a complete picture of who we're dealing with instead of reading this entire thread. I know we can set up our own polls but names can't be added after the fact.

I ordered some SVT badges from Mike and this was the result. We couldn't ask for better service from anyone. He's always been a real pleasure to deal with.

"Tom, i accidentally sent you the wrong badges. I forgot you wanted the "SVT Contour" badges. Keep the ones you get and i'll send out the right ones tomorrow.
Again, sorry for the mix-up."

WA2TUFF - A , Got jack covers last year at Carlisle. Good price, didn't even have to paint them. Good guy.

Skrilla187 - A, Love the T-shirt. Good quality, great price. Shipped when promised.

As far as venders:

BAT - A, Great selection, good customer service. Prices a good, but some other places are better.

SP Motorsports A, great service, good selection, good prices. Nice to deal with.

CTA Motorsports A, another good bunch. Good prices, decent selection.

Have not had trouble yet with anyone recommended on CEG, knock on wood.

I would like to give some praise to Tisby. I bought a set of headers off him and the buying experience was top notch. He was very professional, available for communication at all times, immediate shipment, provided multiple ways to contact him (including phone number) right away without me even requesting it, the packing of the headers was very well done and they showed up in absolutely beautiful condition. He even packed them in seperate boxes just to be sure they showed up in good shape. He is very proactive and has the other person in mind. A+++++++++!!

Wish I had seen this thread a couple weeks ago, and I wouldn't have given him such a hard time. I would say excellect price, and terrible communication, but they came, so I would give him at least a C+ for sure.

Don't get me wrong!!! I said at least a C+ and I am very impatient, I would have only given myself a C+ as a buyer, I am very happy with the transaction, and I sure I will be even happier, when I get those clear corners on my car. Thanks again Chris!

Posting on behalf of a CEGer. This PM was buried from awhile back and I thought I would post it.

CEGer: gsxr907

- Sold SVT UIM,LIM, TB to a Mondeo owner in the UK for $600 via Paypal
- gsxr907 came up with various excuses for not shipping
- Paypal protection time passed
- buyer never received goods
- gsxr907 would not respond to PMs or emails
- buyer is out $600

And I had posted about this guy possibly ripping people off elsewhere. All the people that jumped on me about warning CEG about him .

I'm sure this is a repost .... one more A+ for Christine aka LUCA. She located a trim ring for me, removed the chrome, and primed it. The shipping was as promised, and the packaging top notch. She also sent me pm's regarding a delay and offered a discount.

I've got 2 A+ people...

First is Airforce. In the Emblem GB, he gave me "2119" free for being stationed abroad in the military.

Second is Allyn48. He was parting out a 98 SVT, and gave me the cluster out of it for $40.

svtruss was parting out a car, was an scam at least to me....paypal got a refund. I hope svtruss can read this.

the craftmanship of the product was very good as well, and nothing was mis-represented.

overall i am more than pleased with everything A+++++
