To all current & future HMS Inc Customers.
Please forgive the 'general' form of this message but
it is impossible to write to you all one by one.
As some of you may know my father-in-law suffered a
massive stroke over 7 years ago. This left him
paralysied .For the past 6+ year my wife, his eldest
daughter and I have been the primary care givers to
him. Some months ago his condition deteriorated to the
point where he had to moved from our home to a nursing
center.
This past weekend his condition worsened. We thought we
would loose him on Sat but he 'came back'.It is only a
matter of time,maybe this week,before he passes,'the
candle always burns brightest before it goes out'.
My wife is the oldest sybling in the family and her
mother is in her late 70.At this time it is my duty to
make the arrangements as I'm the only one who has been
in the situation twice before. To all HMS
cutomesrs, please bear with me at this time re current
& future projects etc.I will do my best to answer e
mails etc but please understand our current family
situation. We hope to be back to 'business as usual' in
a short time after the funeral etc.
Thank You ,
Terry Haines,HMS Inc

My own father passed some time ago, it was sudden & traumatic. It is perhaps good that you have this lead time & more family & friends near to share remembrances. My condolences & my heart to you & your family.

Terry,

You are a kind and generous man, and we all respect your knowledge and ability. However, with that being said, we're all just "bloody pissants" ( ) anyway on this thing called Earth.

Keep your family first and foremost.

Our prayers are with you and your family in your time of need.

Ray

I wish your Father comfort during this very painful time. May your family be One in sight of his passing to a better place, and to embrace your fondest memories of him.

From one son to another, I will pray. Take great care in your time away from business and the boards.

Best wishes,

-Bill

I'm really sorry to hear about your situation. All that can be done is to be there for your wife and to take care of the arrangements so she can focus on her father. My dad passed away last year from cancer and so I was left, as the 23 yr old eldest son, to take care of everything while my mom could properly grieve. Just take it one day at a time and my sincerest condolences again.
Our best wishes and prayers to you and your family Terry.
Update.
It has now been confirmed that father-in-law had
another large stroke that has started the decline in
his conditionThank you all for your thoughts, prayers
and consideration at this time.As pointed out by the
medical staff he is 'in the process of
dying...'...which can,as some of you may know,be a
slow process as the body and brain starts to shut
down. The latest we have been told is '2>10 days'...I
have made all the arrangements etc ,it is now just a
case of waiting. Most of the family is holding up well
but I'm in no doubt that when the time is here it will
be very hard for them all.My wife is operating day to
day on 'auto pilot' and dispite being a medical
professional this can affect even the toughest of
us.We are playing each day as it comes with vital sign
reports 3 times a day.Work at HMS is progressing
between daily visits to see him etc.....Thank you all
again for your prayers and consideration..I hope that
he will find his peace soon and our family can move
forward after this sad time.Respectfully. TH
I remember a few years ago when they made the choice to move him in, shortly after his health took a bad turn and they didn't think he was going to make it. Terry looked like a walking corpse from all of the stress & sleepless nights.

Terry, all differences aside, my thoughts go out to you & your family. Keep your head up.

-Mark
