I recently found out I am going to be needing one of those. In the manual, it says that the car is supposed to come with the kit. Is it hidden in the car somewhere? What does the kit comprise of and could anyone who does have it installed, could you post a pic??

I don't think it comes with the car. But the dealers are required to provide it for free when you request it. I ordered two for my 96 (the first had a broken bolt). Then you just instal it according to the instructions on the packet.

Actually in my manual it says all cars sold in Canada are supposed to come with them, but they do also say that if it is not there to contact the dealer and they are free. PM sent, Thanks !!

I think that the first year that cars were required to come with the tethers was 2002. I just welded heavy duty hooks under the seats on both sides so I can put my kid on either side. I can get teh seat so tight in there that the car moves if you shake the car seat.
