I don't this the issue is wings in general, but that specific wing. Just yesterday, I saw a black SVT goin' down the road with a wing similar to those on the new Neon SRT4. It looked good, 'cause it didn't disrupt the lines of the car.
There is an aesthitic to any object, especially a car. The idea is to enhance by adding to, or continuing the aestethic line, not disrupting. Think of a Mack truck grill on a Ferrari....wouldn't work
