Since the other thread is somewhat out of control, I'm locking it and making this a little more official.

Just a run down of the activities...

GingerMan:
We would be meeting up sometime throughout the day at the track and watch the SVTOA on track event that will be going on (some people from here maybe running on the track) and there is the possibility of getting rides around the track in various cars. In the afternoon we would take a nice backroads cruise to Zeke's restaurant for dinner. Getting into the track is free, running on the track, however, isn't.

Belle Isle:
(Roger, if I'm wrong PM me w/ a more accurate description) Meeting up sometime mid-day parking & cooking out on the island.

I didn't vote because I wouldn't mind going out there to have the meet, but as you know Mark, the drive is too far LOL! If we were to go out there, can you think of a place/time we could meet up and "contouravan" out there BTW, how far of a drive is that, not that it matters to me, but others might wanna know

like i said in the other post, i have a place where people can crazh. two couches, recliner, and lotsa floor space. after we eat we can get some beer or whatever. havent had the opp to have a beer with some of you guys.

wait. are we doin it sat or sun. seems like it might be tough for people to make it out here if its on sun. any reason we'd do it then? just my two cents, im in either way.

I will be out there on Friday and staying all weekend.
The drive is about 2hr 45min from the airport. You take I-94 to Exit 43 (watervliet) and head North for about 16 miles until you hit US31/I-196 head North to Phoenix Rd (1st exit)then head east for about 5-6 miles and you're at the track. Gates usually open around 8am.

It is a bit of a drive, but it's the time of the year for nice drives... Plus I would imagine some of the Chitown and West Great lakes guys would probably join us out there.

How much is running on the track? or is it too late to do that?

its $270 for the weekend, there is a registration form on the SVTOA SEMI homepage not sure if its filled or not.
