See third post here , ignoring the part about inspecting for swirls because it'd just depress you  Basically, 50/50 Isopropyl alcohol and water will do it. Or you can try to track down DuPont PrepSol.
Dish soap is for dishes.

No. Dishsoap is the wrong formulation for use in automobiles. Its primary purpose is to kill bacteria and cut through oils. Sure, it will remove the wax, but it can damage the finish and it will break down the oils in exterior plastics.

LMAO...breakdown oils in bumpers??? now thats funny...nothing wrong with washing a kool car with dish soap to remove wax....

its true. as your car gets older, if you wash with dishsoap regularly, you bumpers will be all blotchy and nasty colored.

Besides...what do you think we have been using all these years? Car wash has only been around for a relatively short time..and before that..Dish soap was always used...I even remember the days of using spic and span. But then again...we werent as lazy today..we always waxed after washing.

Dish soap is for dishes. Car soap is for cars. Just because people used to do it doesn't mean that it's the right thing to do.
