95 SE Duratec 119K miles. Superchip only. Everything else stock (except speed rated tires). Long stretch of race track: Buried the needle on the trip-mileage reset button. Beyond 130mph on the speedo.
I love my Contour to death, but my 'vette is still my #1 baby. There's money to be made in racing. I should know. I put a lot of it there. You can make a small fortune in racing. Start with a large one. How fast do you want to go...how much money do you have? You can fix a lot of things, but you can't fix stupid!

About 130mph but then I realized that I had *****y Eagle GTII tires on the car which is not designed for speed so I slowed down. Gone about 155MPH in a 1986 Mercury Capri RS! Yes, the front is about as aerodynamic as a barn door but I've got a gear and about 320 ponies Scary even with suspension mods...

I've had my SVT up to 115, but the fastest I've driven is 125 in my dad's Benz E420. It's a boring car (the Mercedes), but at 100 it still has plenty of punch left. That was when I lived out in the farmbelt (Plano, IL) and had backroads... Now I'm in Plainfield, and don't have much of a proving ground nearby. To be honest, though, I start to chicken out as the spedo passes 105. Most cars I've driven, even my '92 Sentra XE, have felt just fine up to 90 or so. My first car, an '81 Olds Cutlas wagon, would barely do 80. --T.J.

Well I've only been to 130 mph 4 times and thats because I came up on traffic  I will not pass anyone at 130 mph, you gotta do in a somewhat "safe" manner, well as safe as 130+ can be
