Ill take PIAA's. They have been known as a reputable company and quality in performance lighting for some time now. Not to mention their housing construction, lens construction, bulbs, reliablity, and warrenty over any others...my .02

I was thinking about getting those fog lights. I like the "angel eye" look on them, and the brightness of the actual fog lights. Looks good man!

Sorry, couldn't resist. You know what happens when you find a website, some damned funny pics ... one of these days I'll get myself into trouble. At least I'll have a good laugh before I do

Not bad, but depending on whether or not you want them to look good vs. put light well down the road, the Marauder fogs (Cibie, outstanding lights, glass lenses) can be tweaked to fit the stock mounting 'brackets' and more than double the effective output of the stock junk. A wiring adaption between the stock plug and the Marauder unit does have to be made since the stock plug doesn't match either. No regrets on the project, well worth it.

BTW, the headlights and the fogs (looking at the car), appear the same color with Silverstar H-1 bulbs in the fogs.

Get som real fogs or driving lights and invest in PIAA's

You better go and take a closer look at them in person. Very well made with all metal construction and as stated glass lenses with same H3 bulbs. Can also be used with the stock brackets and a little tweaking. The PIAA's are very nice but not 2-3x better IMO. Plus PIAA's don't have the Angel Eye's so if you like them these are very nice option for the money. They are way brighter then the stock fogs and next to the PIAA's I don't see that much difference in brightness or light produced if any. Next time the local CEG guys get together I will take pic's of both side by side and compare.

Please explain how they are in fact "Gay"...why is it around here that every time somebody doesn't know about or doesn't like something it is "gay". I here my 12 year old son and his two older teenage brothers do the same al the time and it and I ask them the same. I guess it's just a kid thing. I always thought gay meant happy or well...or maybe you know the other meaning 1st hand and are just trying to cover it up by calling car parts "gay" Something I guess I'll never really understand.

Just messin' with you...they are really very nice lights for the money.

I've seen these lights many o times while in Pep Boys and I'm not impressed. I dont think they look half as good of quality as the PIAA's. I'd say the PIAA's workmanship are ATLEAST twice as good as these PepBoy specials, not to mention the quality of the fluted glass, bulbs, steel housing, lifetime warrenty, etc.

However, the main reason I don't like those lights is the Angel eye. That design has been beaten to death by APC and other lame import performance part companies. Angel eyes should be left where they started and that is ONLY on the BMW.

If you want to "ricerize" your contour so be it, thats your decison. But I know I'm not the only one that dispises the rice look on our cars, it is shared w/ MANY CEG'rs as well.

But hey don't take my word for it.

I don't think using those fogs would "ricerize" your car and I don't think other CEG'rs would disagree with me on that, if you like PIAA's, I'm happy for you, Hella's are equally as good as PIAA.s. They aren't "Pep Boys" specials either, their Hella's although I'm not a big fan either of those Halo's, I'm not gonna use them, plus one can hardly tell those fogs have halos.

Clearly, as I have seen on other forums, trigger words often cause the reader to stop and comment without reading the entire post, or forget the rest and just remember the trigger words. Often the Picture is the trigger, and prevents many from reading the post as well. In this case it may have been wise to just mention that these are Hellas, leaving out the purchasing venue.....
