Seriously though, for 15 miles, you could cycle it in 30-40 minutes tops if you rode slow. There's no way I'd tollerate day after day of a 15 mile commute taking 1.5 hours!
I'd even rollerblade, probably moreso. In Australia I rollerbladed to university as much as I could!

Perhaps, but I really can't take the heat here; it's too humid and hot. I get drenched in sweat just walking from my apartment to the parking structure about 1/2 mile away at 7am . It seriously is way too hot here, that, and I'm not familiar with the local roads around here to get around on other means of transportation. It's just a bad situation in D.C. I've tried just about everything else: -driving to work -Riding the metro (train) to work -taking the bus to work. -Getting out at different times.
But it all weighs out. In D.C. employment opportunity and wages are significantly higher than other metropolitan cities. However, in the Capitol area you have to deal with insane traffic, an expensive living: especially real-estate, bad humidity and heat, and from my observation, unfriendly people (had a problem with the car, and none of the gas stations nor auto-stores would let me use a multimeter, even if I told them I'd pay them $5 to use it). I seriously can't equate in my mind why anyone would want to stay here, permanently, but I mean people have different perspectives; so be it.
Otherwise, it's a nice place, moreso as a tourist. I've never been to D.C., so it's been a new experience...Ahh well just my 2 pesetas

Steve with you, Kenny and Todd, and of course myself, we could move in, in half the time as it would help in carrying in and placing furniture.
Plus once we're done, I'll fire up the Bar-B and crack open some tinnies for the workers (moochers not welcome !).
Then we'll have to ship Todd's big black trophy over this way and into my 3 car garage to get the damn engine back up and running; as it won't happen in this millenium over in his little shoebox garage!
LOL! Yeah, that swap might take a little longer than expected... Although I have heard that he has worked on it a little... Just the engine that is.

Sorry I missed out helping this weekend, I had family stuff that I could not miss. Will try to make when you clear the storage unit. Heck, if I can spend over a week helping my friends move from Willis to Clinton, Mich (jeez, they had a lot of stuff!!)---a day helping you would be a breeze!
