Just wondering who had a fun 4th this year.

I spent the day with a few friends at one of their parents houses. The highlight of my day was being physically abused by a bunch of 8 year olds. They thought it was funny to pelt me with wiffel balls. After I took a non-wiffel ball to the head I went and grabbed a seat with the adults and joined in on the all-day happy hour.

later on after dark my friends and I left the party and took off to sneak into a "closed after dark" public park that has a trail that leads you to a dam over the river. We sat there in lounge chairs braving the bugs to see the town's fire works from the other side of the river. After the fire works we went back to my friend's place, and ate lots of ice cream while we watched Spiderman.

well friday I dragged because I had worked about 24 hours between thursday and friday, this way because I was setting up sounds and lighting for Sheltons 4th show, there was between 5 to 10 thousand people there

sat I washed my car and installed my hood lift kit, visited with a friend from school, wish I could figure her out...

that afternoon I went to a friends graduation party and ended the night by setting off fireworks, I got 24 bottle rockets to launch all at once

sunday, changed the oil on my car and my fathers car, when sailing at the local town lake, dumped the boat and called it a day after swiming in with it, when out and meet someone and saw spiderman 2

monday slept until 2, didn't do anything all day, and back to work today

I did alot of work saturday and monday.

Saturday I was working on a side job building a patio for my neighbor. I finished the brick laying of the patio by putting down almost an entire pallet of bricks, about 550 pieces. Then I set them in by running a plate wacker over the surface to get all the bricks set into the bedding and then I swept sand between them to lock them in place.

Monday I spent about 5 hours in the garage installing new steering tie rods and tie rod ends in my truck. It took about 3 hours to change the rods and then another 2 hours to do the alignment. I think I'm aligned pretty good, I did it with a tape measure. It doesn't pull to the right anymore, I hold the wheel straight to go straight and the overall feel of teh steering is alot tighter.

pretty good holiday over here.
Summer Nats all day on Saturday. 2 hours of that day was sitting around Elky's waiting for him to finish detailing the hearse
got home at around 1:30 that night.

Sunday, slept in then went to the inlaws for a small bbq.
Ate too much dessert of course, then followed it up with a Mike's lemonade which made me mellow as all hell. I was useless for a while. I even let them splash me while I sat pool side with no complaints.

Home later that night to have wine and cheese and chill out to Return of the King.
Slept in late Monday morning. Stayed lazy the entire day watching tv and didn't get off my butt to start house cleaning until 3:00. (damn that spongebob marathon)

all in all, great weather and a nice relaxing weekend.
That's two holiday weekends in a row now that we have great weather.
We're getting spoiled!
We deserve it after all the crappy weekend weather we had last year.

the holiday weekend was great. started packing for the big move in August, played with the doggie, and went up to Wakefield for the 4th fireworks. WHAT A PRODUCTION! i have never seen so many people in such a small town get together in one place for fireworks. very impressive. a band and everything.

also, went to Avalon on Saturday night to catch Paul Oakenfold spinning. Did some dancing. Tons of fun!

Let's do it again this weekend!!!

We had our own private place to watch the fireworks show on top of the dam. They were kinda far away, there was about a 5 second delay between when they blew up until we heard them. Even though we were so far away they were still spectacular to us. Probably becasue we were all a little .

Saturday- BBQ at Robin's uncle's house. Sunday- BBQ at our house (patch o' asphalt in the back of the house that fits a dozen comfy). Fireworks on TV. Monday- shared B-Day for me and Robin's sister-in-law, BBQ at their house. :-) Was an indoor bbq, though... well, partly. Robin's brother and father were grilling under an umbrella outside, and running the food into the house. :-)
