I just bought a pre 98 tunk lid for my CSVT. What can I do to prep it so I do not have to pay as much to get it painted? I am getting quotes around 400-500 to prep it and fix a few small dents, then paint. The trunk lid is champagne and I am getting it painted black. I know sanding it down will help get the old paint off, but how much sanding? Any other suggestions on what to do?
