I already have an 84 - but im looking at

this one - its a nice car -

or just check out this Thread for more pics of volvoes i am interested in purchasing - then as the motors "expire" I can swap in the V6 or V8. Basically I need it to drive until I get the swap all worked out - then one or two curageous weekends throw it all together.

Silver sedan = 15 psi
White Coupe = 13 psi
Orange Coupe = 15-18 psi

All VERY fast cars - the Orange one for example weighs in at 2700lbs with no driver . . .

Ohh, that white one looks like a white tux. Snazzy. Just keep them clean. Duratec 3L with some boost would be righteous.

If I suggested Chevy [censored], i would have suggested a 6.2l diesel. I recommended an LS1 which would be a drastic improvement over a 302 if you were considering that. A modded duratec, would be a fun project, and with enough work, you could get it into the same league as a NA LS1.

Those are some nice 242's you're looking at.

Personally, I have always had the desire to take a somewhat beaten up 245 and throw in a heavily modified 302, and just assault cars at the drag strip.

and the ls1 is still an ls1 -

and in my book that equates to not in my book.

( the only GM engine made right now I even give the slightest crap about is the Duramax - [and thats Izusu])

The rest of the entire range shows about the engineering brilliance of a rock covered in moss. No thanks with a capital NO.

I was considering the 5.0 swap into the family brick- a 1979 Volvo 240 DL wagon. Unfortunately, we scrapped it to gain back some space in our garage.

Have you seen this page, yet?
