Besides being an evil earth polluting basturd, is there any problems I might have by removing the cat? My warranty runs out in a couple weeks so it's time to do some messin' with the car. There are no emmission checks in Saskabush so that won't be a problem. I also want to pull the resonator while I'm down there. Some day I might even put an expensive muffler on there... some day...

Gut the pre-cats and leave the main cat on there. You'll get a healthy performance boost and you can sleep at night knowing your main cat is cleaning up the exhaust while you are driving. Get a high flow cat on the net if your stock cat is clogging up.

I was thinking of just running straight headers out the side of the car. Will there be anything wrong with that besides a slight increase in noise levels? :p

Can someone tell me about gutting my pre-cats. is this something i can do on my own or is this something that the people at the exhaust shop know how to do.
