Yes it does come on, but it's up around the "L" when it does.
Thats where both of mine ran til I changed the thermostat to 180*. On hills at slow speed the temp rockets up to the "L" still. As a test, I turned on the A/C - this starts the cooling fan- and the temp dropped.
Conclusion -
Normal operation
As long as the temp. stays in the NORMAL range......its normal. Test everything , then stop worrying......
