I just installed my new Diablo chip about a week ago. Unfortunately there was something wrong with it, and it wouldnt work. So I have left it in the stock mode, because according to Diablo with it turned to this mode the ECU does it even know it is there, I was planning on taking it out at a later date because they were going to RMA it for me. What was happening was this. My temp gauge would hit half and them ping out around 3/4 to max temp everytime I stopped at a light. I have now removed the chip, and it still did it. My car usually runs under half. So I had Ford replace the thermostat and both ECU and CTS sensors under the hood, flush and clean out the rad. Now the car doesnt spike but it constantly runs just over half. Anyone have any ideas what the issue maybe? is my waterpump on the way out?

Have you reset the computer from the previous settings?

Some air bubbles still in the system working their way out?

The waterpump will usually just go and not give indications it's about to croak.

Computer fully reset, double checked the belt for oil or other stuff on it. Could it be a rad fan not operating at full speed, or is it possible the chip damaged the ECU somehow?

You have the dual fans huh? One may be out, one of mine did, I found out because the other fan would constantly switch between high and low speeds.

You MIGHT have a bad fan. Have you turned each fan by hand to see if it turns freely? One bad one and you will have some overheating issues in city driving.

But that's just a stab in the dark? But a good place to start too.

Good luck!
