Well, good question, but I am not sure about applying clearcoat atop of rubberized undercover spray.

What I've always used was the foaming tire shine, the cheapest stuff since its just going into the wheelwells YOu must try and keep them clean too, that really helps. I must say that painting them is just going to lead to chipping, think about what goes on in there

I thought I had it covered using the RollBar Chassis paint, because it's obviously designed for abused areas, hence no chipping, but what I didn't take into consideration is the the fact that rubberized undercoat spray is flexible and thicker, so yeah I'll end up chipping. Well, you'll see how it goes when the car is back on the road this week.
