I agree the BBB doesn't do much, but my whole deal was that he was using the BBB as his primary source of information (atleat that he stated) when to the contrary, the BBB stated the exact opposite of what he said they stated.....
I agree, people have had problmes with SP....but when you make a blanket statement like what i originaly posted about...with no proof or giving websites that state the exact opposite of what your tring to prove, you gonna get called on your credability.
Lupe
EDIT: I ahve had no problmes other than what i stated orginaly, and some orders leaving 1 or 2 dyas late. other than that, i have had nothing but a positive experience.
Also, if you can't wait, feel free to go through your CC company to seek resolution. If i were in your shoes i probable would because i agree its a long time to wait...do what you need to do to get the resolution you want...good luck no matter what you chose.

Between myself and local CEGers, we've spent ~$5k over the years with no problems.
I know Joe personally and he's a great guy. Wouldn't rip anyone off.
Just because he's had bad experience with SP and is relaying that doesn't mean you have to be an ass. I had previously had great experiences with them but the last dealing I had with SP it took them about 8 months and about 1000000 phone calls, emails and a few threats of bbb action to FINALLY get my money back. I had thought before that Joe was a good guy but all I got during that time frame was lame excuses about why he hadn't gotten my money refunded. I know at that time there were a lot of other people having issues as well. Haven't ordered anything from them in about a year so I can't say how it is now but it's kinda lame to tell someone to go play in traffic just because they're relaying their experiences/opinions. Not like he was personally attacking you...lighten up.
Read what he wrote. He did not make a statement about SP, he made a personal attack on someone I know personally. When someone attacks a friend, I do take it personally.
What if your friend had a business and I had a bad experience with the business and I called him a thief? Would you not take offense? Would you not defend him?
Lame excuses? Joe is a one man operation and during that time he was going through A LOT of personal issues. Don't give me the "It's a business" line either - have some sympathy. We're lucky to have SP as of our main suppliers for aftermarket parts.

If Joe did something wrong to him like he did, he can attack him. Joe is your friend, so yeah you want to defend him. Joe never responded to me when i got sent the wrong part, and every time before that he had been great...so take from that what you will...if anything.

Oh you hurt my feelings sooooooooo bad.
Sorry I don't really get my panties in a bunch just because of waht some assclown on the net says...maybe you shoudl try that sometime.
BTW...It IS a business...duh. And 8 months for a refund is ridiculous regardless of the situation. Everybody talked liked that when that Kaotic GB started to go south too "Quit bitching these guys are trying to help us" etc etc etc and look where that went. Business is business and if you can't keep your end of the deal then you shouldn't be in business...period.

Good comeback. Had to resort to namecalling, huh? How old are you 18? 19?
Typical "assclown" response to a legitimate post that an "assclown" like yourself can't make an intelligent response to.

Ummm..yeah so anyway, thier website is not responding either and I need to get price quotes on a Spec I clutch. Another ceg'er said they got thiers through SP and it was cheaper than what is listed on the Spec website. What's up with the website? Anyone?

Class,
I'll give Joe a call tomorrow and see exactly what's going on. You should get in touch with Keyser or SVTCuervo for a SPEC clutch. I think they can get you one for less than what SP offers them for.

Thats strange?! It has been my experience with Joe is that he is a 1st class operation between myself and a friend of mine we have easily spent over $3k with Joe over the past 2 years. NEVER A PROBLEM WHATSO EVER. He has always returned my calls promptly and if a part was back ordered he would let me know b4 hand. Did I read it right that Joe is moving out of state??? That sucks his shop was like 25 minutes from my house! I had a ritual 1) Swing by pick up parts that were ordered. 2) Go to Buffalo Wings and Beer what way to spend an afternoon!!!!
