we dont have timing belts on our cars we have timing chains.. I dont know the milage at which they need to be change if that. Ive never heard of the timing chains to fail on our cars to this date. Its always an oiling issue before that. What you might want to do is fortify your oiling system with an upgraded oil pan and possibly a DMD if you dont have it already to relieve the car of vibrations to the crank at high rpm. Other than that how long has it been since a plug wire air and fuel filter change. Your tensioner shouldnt be too hard.
