Well, with the problem only occuring when cold, I figured a sensors or plugs, etc. I had new plugs and wires. I replaced the tss sensor. I knew it was the original. About the only item I figured that may contribute to idling problems when put in gear was the throttle position sensor - of course I ensured I didn't have any intake or vacuum line leaks, etc. There was nothing else that I could think of that would contribute to this and the sensor was not that expensive. Was I guessing on this, yes....but I eliminated most everything else to get down to this point.

I also figured that the sensor was sending information to PCM on the throttle position. If the sensor was sending wrong info on throttle position thus I resoned it would affect potential idle. When the sensor warmed up, the problem would disappear....
