bigmoney, what was the diagnosis?
I opened up the 3 liter a bit yesterday evening and the 99/00 cables were custom fitted onto the Focus shift tower went. I managed to coast into an elementary school parking lot.
Put some slightly broken 98 cables in - shifting is very poor due to the break.
FYI: The cables are a major PITA to replace.
