For one, get rid of that awful color. It screams "rentalness" to me. I was never a fan of tan/beige on any car, not just the Contour.
Perhaps some FSVT rims would be a relatively inexpensive, worthy upgrade. Those wheels have been on several CSVTs around this site, and I believe Brapple has them on his Contour Sport. They look extremely well in all applications.
