But the thing is half of the pins were copper color and other half was silver. What color should they be? Oh by the way I did try it and the car wont start. So either wrong code or dirty contacts.

Most likely dirty contacts. Silver or copper, doean't matter as long as it's a clean metal contact on all pins. I actually had to use a small plastic scraper to get the job done... and a little carb cleaner on a rag to wipe away the residue. HTH.
