OK I finally figured out how to get the power steering thing out and took out my computer. So I started cleaning the pins when I noticed that the little sponge was completely worn, and was not doing anything anymore. But the thing is half of the pins were copper color and other half was silver. What color should they be? I called superchips and they told me it should be copper, and on the instruction sheet it says silver? Anyways for right now he's sending me some more sponges to clean the contacts.
Oh by the way I did try it and the car wont start. So either wrong code or dirty contacts.
Thank you
Most likely dirty contacts. Silver or copper, doean't matter as long as it's a clean metal contact on all pins. I actually had to use a small plastic scraper to get the job done... and a little carb cleaner on a rag to wipe away the residue. HTH.
