There is a guy in town with aftermarket exhaust on a STi and it shoots flames under hard driving. I doubt he has a catalytic convertor though.

well the car that my friend has that i started this post on is a 90 accord. it has 4-2-1 headers and a full exhaust with no cats. the car already throws a lil flame wich looks cool. he just wants it to be able to do it more often. my old mr2 had a cat and it use to throw out a little flame once in a while. but it was just a quick pop flame not liek a torch.

I stood about 30 feet behind a Dodge Ram with a flame kit on it once. I has seriousely underestimated its capabilities and we he ignited the pipes I got cooked. I mean that thing sent a wave of pure heat back and nearly knocked me over..........
Of course I think its tacky and I"d never put it on my SVT. But whateva suits the Accord guy

hes not lookign to make a torch just a lil pop the way it does now. you dont see a flame just the quick glow and a popping sound.

i can just imagine how fun it would be to roast tailgaiters (although highly illegal ) but just imagine the look on that a holes face who is driving 5 feet of your bumper when you roast him with a 10 ft. flame! that would teach him to get off your a!

not true actually....propaine injection before the plug near the tip wirks like a charm, and it does nothing to interfeer with your cars electrical system.
a seperate coil pack(from a v-twin motorcycle if you have dual outlet) gets switch power from the battery to give the plugs some spark...a push button selonoid on the tank releases propaine into the exhaust gases wich is ignited.
there are systems that can cause damage to your engine if you don't change you oil more regularly(those wich are wired into the ignition and burn gasoline)
not trying to slam you, but there are engine safe methoods out there.
u been watching trucks on spike tv lately?

My old '76 Mazda RX-3 had a cat and I could get it to shoot flames on demand. It had about 200,000 on it & was pretty worn out. Rev engine, *BANG* , shoot flames. Start car, *BANG* , shoot flames. It was wicked at night. I miss that little car - it was more fun to drive than my Contour.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
