not true actually....propaine inection before the plug near the tip wirks like a charm, and it does nothing to interfeer with your cars electrical system.
a seperate coil pack(from a v-twin motorcycle if you have dual outlet) gets switch power from the battery to give the plugs some spark...a push button selonoid on the tank releases propaine into the exhaust gases wich is ignited.
there are systems that can cause damage to your engine if you don't change you oil more regularly(those wich are wired into the ignition and burn gasoline)
not trying to slam you, but there are engine safe methoods out there.
ok i consider myself edumacated. i work alot with older big bloick V8's. i was under the impression that the only way to safely throw flames was out the sides. with a system that goes header, pipe out from under the doors... 
but now that i have my head out of my ass, that makes sense...but you still have to worry about having muffler tips that stick wayy out beyont hte bumper for fear of melting/charring things...or at least, i would anyway...
