I've got a 2000 csvt with the mufflers removed and replaced with straight pipes. It sounds better - like a baby
mustang - but since i have no mufflers i have no back pressure and once i let off the throttle the car goes silent.

I miss the cool backpressure sound the car had when it was
stock but it just wasn't loud enough for me.I was thinking about replaceing the resonatior with the maganflow #10415 but after reading your post i desided against it.I'm planing on optimizing the y-pipe and putting some flowmaster race mufflers out back. these are smaller square shaped muflers about half the size of the stock svt muffler with a diamond shaped baffle inside them to restrict very little flow. hopefully they will give me a little backpressure sound as thats all i'm looking for.
