As my Magnaflow mufflers have been "broken in" over the past few days, a very intolerable drone is present till 2.5K revs.
I installed a 10425 and two 11225's in the stock SVT system. I assumed (wrongly) that with that reso I wouldn't encounter any serious drone issues. It sounds great above 2500, but till then its aweful!
Highway speed is great, cruisin around town at 40-50mph is no good!
(As a side note, what speed do you shift to 5th gear in...?)
I had another setup (previous SVT) with only a glasspack on the stock system (no cat either)- that setup droned bad AFTER about 3K. Why would this be the opposite?
Would I see an improvement (ie. drone reduction) by changing the reso for a magnapack or powerpack, or whatever magnaflow calls their glasspack?
