With a resistor it wil blink "faster" . What I mean is it will light up quicker (fractionally) than a filament bulb too. Just take a gander at your spoiler Roger. It lights up a tad quicker than the rest. Anyway, my point is...
Some people tested the advantage of LED's for brake lights and used the Deville (all LED brakes lights) compared to non-LED or filament bulbs. At HWY speeds, 60-0 MPH the car behind the deville reacted 12 feet sooner than the filament bulb car. Now that's only a fraction of a second but, still 12 more feet in an emergency stop
