I am sad to announce that another 'Tour has been removed from the road My friend was trying to provoke a mustang to race him and when he was in 3rd doing about 80 he went to jam it into 4th and accidently hit 2nd. Therefore, he popped the motor and doesn't think he will fix it.
Anyone wanna sell an SVT Tour Rear Bumper?!!

very sad... just another reason not to race! How did he hit second, fourth is straight down, he would have had to push over to hit second???

I guess he was pulling through the gears so hard that he didn't pull down he pulled toward him just enough to get it to engage. The ratios are so close it's very possible.

dude, somthing aint righjt, wouldnt the clutch blow up before the motor does? sure you'll bounce off the limiter, but thats why it is there. i kinda thought that was an advantage to having a stick, if your goofy enough to do that, you only have a 500 dollar parts bill instead of 1000 plus...

The rev limiter can't help you on a downshift. It'll prevent you from doing what I did to an '88 Porsche 911 Turbo 4spd the first time I played the original Test Drive game on my Commodore: Flooring it in neutral and blowing the engine, then getting it in first, gunning it and blowing another engine!
The rev limiter is for when you don't shift in time. If you downshift to second at 80 MPH, the engine's shooting up to ~10K RPMs, no if ands or buts...
