Perhaps you missed the news (probably did since it was in CA) a while back when an elderly man drove into a Farmers' Market, killing around 20 people and injuring many more I believe. You have no idea how dangerous elderly people are unless you actually drive with one. Obviously not all are, but a large enough percentage to warrant annual testing.



What about people who have heart attacks and crash into bus shelters? It's happened many times.

Yes I believe people over 65 should be retested, but to say only those people should be retested and no one else is a sad statement.
Like I said before everyone should be retested every 5 years, upon reaching 60 every 2 years, 70 yearly and getting a physical to prove you can safely drive should be mandatory as well for all ages.
