Iā??ve had this problem for a while now: the car shakes violently, loses power, and loses speed as well. At starts 15 or so minutes into the drive [not when the car is cold] and mostly at high RPMs.
I was convinced that it was the fuel pump and I was ready to replace it when I decided to stop by a mechanic before. BAM ā?? the guy went on a freeway with me [and it shook like it always does] and told me that itā??s transmission! So the first thing we do is change the transmission fluid which was overdue for a change anyway. I drive home happy thinking that the problem is solved. Then I go on a freeway in a couple of hours and the same freaginā?? thing happens as before. Carā??s got 87,000 miles on it and it was well taken care of. Any ideas? God, please donā??t say trannyā?¦
