All this talk makes me doubt that aftermarket air cleaners are all they're cracked up to be, especially considering the temperature of underhood air.
BTW, why the need for "heat shields" with aftermarket air cleaners? So far, I'm convinced me to stay with the stock air cleaner for a daily driver.
