Thank you for referring me to SPMotorsports. I just drafted an inquiry and I should hear back from them in a couple of days as to what can be done to add the bigger filter, chrome plate, and silicone hose to the standard SE kit without having to buy 2 kits and waste half of both of them (around 200 dollars... ouch!). I guess I was just confused when I called KKM why they would only offer one or the other to me as a kit and why (for a few bucks extra of course for the trouble, I wouldn't ask for free effort) they would not simply sell me the SVT kit, but swap out the adapters and hardware. Also if anybody has pictures or a complete list and description of the parts of the individual pieces in either kit (a bit more detail than what I already found at the KKM website), if you could please send them my way (fenderman49@hotmail.com to preserve bandwidth for more important topics) I would certainly appreciate it. Edit- I just looked at a Mercury Cougar with an intake system that looked like the KKM but had a different filter and I saw where the IAT adapter was. Say I got the SVT kit (the whole thing) and modified the adapter to accept the IAT, would that work for my Contour? Or are there also special mounting brackets specific to my SE that the SVT differs on and where do these mounting brackets attach? It looks like it just hangs there from the pictures I saw.
