I finally got the weapon-r intake installed and revved it a few times to hear it. It sounded perfect until I got to 4500 rpm and then it stuttered and wouldnt rev past it. Tried it again and the same thing happened. Whats wrong?

Automatic?
I think the car won't rev past 4500 in park or neutral.
Take it out on the road and see if it still revs while in drive.
I think the ECU is protecting the engine and tranny from neutral drops and other potentially bad stuff.

My Zetec is an ATX and it has a rev limiter that kicks in at about 4 grand, while in park.

Yep, you're absolutely right....thnx. Took it out and put it into drive....OH MY Friggin god!. Past 4500 it sounds like a V8 beast. Sweet!

Where did you guys get your Weapon R intake? How much did it cost you? When I went on the Weapon R website there was no intake for the contour...what is the part number for this intake? I have a 97 tour and I hope there is an inake for me.

Summit racing has them. just got them in stock. They are about 180. when i ordered mine i told them i had a 99SVT. as far as i know it will still work.
