In the SCC article, I noticed that they masked everything as well. As noted, this stuff is really quire permanent when dry.
Another thing to note is to be sure that you check for any drain hoses, wiring et al before injecting the foam. Lastly, clean out the area being injected if at all possible. Road grime and dirt can get into everything, and can hamper the foam's ability to do its job.
