The speedometer is very "generous" above 80mph.
It's get further off the faster you go.
A stock SVT is drag limited to 143-144mph. "actual speed"

now demonsvt why would the power of my hybrid be able to reach the Actual speed of 150mph with a stock computer? My speedometer read 160mph but my navigation said 150mph. so the statement of speedometer being generous is true.
PLEASE HELP ME GET MY CAR TOGETHER! ITS IN DAYTON OHIO! I need the motor together and in the car so i can DRIVE it! Pleeeeeese!

You answered it yourself.. It has more power. Greg noted that a "stock SVT" is drag limited to 143mph. I've also climbed over the 150 mark with my Hybrid.

yes i realize it has more power. Doesn't a stock svt have more power to go faster but is limited. I think you are missing the point? Shouldn't the computer stop your car from going faster..??

Most manual transmission cars do not have a speed limiter, if they do (which I thought I read somewhere in the past) they are set above what the car can actually atain. Originally posted by svtProdigy:

A stock SVT's top speed is DRAG LIMITEDIt has nothing to do with the computer, there is no speed limiter. In order to overcome that drag you need more power, like a 3l hybrid

Thank you!! If your computer was what stopped your car from going over the 143 mark, you'definitely notice it.. Sort of like the AT Z28's with the 115mph governor.. You hit that thing like a ton of bricks and the car falls on it's face, slows down, then right back up to 115 etc..

manuals have a gov...like 113 or 115...it sucks when you hit it
