sorry to say it (but I may be worng) but isn't the transmission part of the rear differential on the C-5 Vette's? the clutch is still on the back of the engine, but ya get a long driveshaft that goes into the trans/differential...the trans/differential is also known as a MTX or ATX...because it is a transaxle setup.
