Was wondering if someone could recomend a tire size for 17x7.5 ADR Veloce. I do have it lowered with intrax springs and wheel offset is 42 i beleive. When i put the wheels on the front i can just about fit my pinky in between the rim and the strut. would a 225/35/17 work without any rubbing issues??

Bro,

I ran 17x7.5s..and the desire is always there to run a super wide tire. But the 7.5" width will already "stretch" the tire more and make it wider than a 7" rim. There was a real cool link that showed just this...

My advice...unless you got mondo HP...or are going for just a certain look...stick with 215/45/17s. More tires to choose from...no rubbing issues...and less strain on your suspension bits. Plus...a 35 series sidewall will offer about zero bump absorption...

I know someone is running 235/40's on 17x7.5's. It's nearly the same ratio as our stock wheels, so the speedo difference is minimal.

I've got 225/40's on my 17x7"s. No rubbing here. Those 35 series will definitly give you an awful ride.

I'm running 235/40 17 on a 7.5" wheel, but with 45mm offset. Your 42 will give you more room between tire and strut, but I don't know about your fenders.

I don't rub anywhere. No rolled fenders either. Hit or miss, so I'm not recommending anything.

But, 35 will be too small. A 215 will still work, but will look a little stretched. My Kuhmo's did.
