It seems like everyone on here has them in their car. Are they really THAT much better than standard platinum plugs? I'm a little skeptical. Any testimonials?

I installed the autolite double platinum's. I have driven the car under hard load in climbs up steep mountain hwy driving. We have fantastic hwy's in BC Canada for performance driving. No engine miss. The Bose double platinums perform well also but there was no difference in performance. In summary I would recommend the Autolites or the Ford platinums because using the Bose gave no noticeable difference in performance. Not worth the extra expense.

I think a chain reaction started with the Boschs a while ago and since than I think everyone will vouch for these plugs. But honestly get Autolites or NGK's proven and there very durable. You don't see Autolite or NGK putting 4 electrodes on there plugs just so that they can attract buyers, you see when someone sees 4 they think woohoooo. I say don't fall for it and save your money at the same time. I run Autolite Double Plats and they do the job intended, thats what u want. In fact I think if you get Autolites Double Plats they have a rebate program, a $1.00 returned per plug check with your local auto parts store.....

I am on my second set of +4's. First set came out at 61k for a look and could have been reused. Spark plugs are a personal preference item. There are NO plugs that will give you more power. Everyone has their own favorites. +4's work for me.

*cough* *cough* Not everyone here runs them. I run the cheap copper autolites that cost .79 each, they work fine. Prolly should change them at 15-20k intervals, but when I pulled one at 10k, it had no noticeable wear. Fwiw, I had these plugs in when I out-dynoed several modded SVT's last year. They're still in and doing fine. Don't spend the money on the fancy plugs unless you really just don't like changing them. Dan Beggs 99 Cougar V6, loud

I ran +4's for about 3K... pulled them out and switched with Autolite Platinum Pro's.. (Double Platinum) never been happier.. +4's make no difference in power and definatley not in mileage.. I think it is all expectations on the plugs and not true gains that are noted. Dom

I have been running the +4's for about 30k miles, and plan to get NGK double plats soon. They have been running fine though.

I didn't get any performance gains with the +4s, nor was I expecting any. The main benefit is that the spark plug runs within spec longer, since it has four electrodes to burn down instead of one.
