well i got all my manifold rebuild gaskets and pressure regulator in the mail yesterday from BillJ of course, so i will be tearing my baby apart sometime this week or weekend and that should rule out linkage and gunked up manifold possibilites and leave the fuel pump as the little bastard!

I recently had a problem with bogging and loss of power under 3000rpm. I couldnt figure out what it was and then it started to happen at any rpm. Eventually when i was driving and reached 5000rpm, all of my vaccum hoses blew off. i knew there had to be a problem with too much back pressure. I checked my CAT and it was clogged. The ford dealership replaced all of my damaged parts because the CAT is still under warranty. You might want to look into this if the fuel pump is not the problem either.

i can check but im gonna rule it out since i have the high flow cat and its only got like 30k on it and the manifold cats no longer exist
but i will check when im under there this weekend
by the way...i finished the whole upper/lower cleaning and still have the problem so the pump is probably next

I am positive I am having this same exact problem, could someone describe how I could fix this or is this even an easy DIY fix?

I did just replace my fuel pump, which was surprisingly easy with the how-to on this web site. Car runs great apart from the low rpm performance.

i havent changed the pump yet but like i said...the cleaning didnt cahnge anything and i didnt notice any leaks or that the secondaries were malfunctioning but it DOES seem to make sense with the secondaries. im kinda broke right now so it will be a minute before the plugs and pump get changed but im still open for suggestion or diagnosis from those who are experiencing the same thing.
