Velocity stacks just generally simulate a larger runner because your just increasing the volumn of the runner. I have a 500 dollar piece of software and 6 years of experience that will tell me the correct runner lenght. Your going to see major topend advantages over stock with the piece. You can doubt or do whatever. But its not going to change that this is going to be a GREAT product for your tuning community. I will have dyno tests out in a matter of days from some of the fastest all motor zx2 tuners in the us. That will tell the tell. This is just one part of your breathing system. If your cams or headers are not upto the task you could hurt yourself by going to something this aggresive.
Not for the mild at heart definatly

Velocity stacks are not just to simulate added runner length, although they do add some length, they are meant to keep the air volume and pressure up. They could mean the difference between only 5wHP and actually getting 15wHP. What software says and what happens in the real world are never exactly the same. Dyno results are the key on this (and most) car sites.
BTW, our engine, in stock form, already outperforms the stock manifold.

Since you obviously know more about manifolds then i do. You should produce them. I wont be.

Dude, you let one person's CONSTRUCTIVE critism stop you from making a product. That's real cool.

the more options the better...it never hurts to have something else on the market because there is always someone willing to buy. But as far as business goes, I'd stick to Zx2 and Zx3 owners as there wont be much business for you from zetec guys on CEG (you could always talk to the zetec cougar guys though)... sad but true, there aren't really any high modded zetecs on this site.

Alright well if anyone is interested just drop me a pm and Ill take care of you. The offer still stands 450 for the race 750 for custom manifolds. Ill make to your application. I just dont like it when people critize what im trying to do when im just trying to build stuff for your car. Think about if someone came into your work, something youv been doing for AWHILE, and told you what worked and what doesnt.

If they did that, I would look more into it and see if maybe they are onto something. If I found that they are wrong, I would explain to them why they are wrong. I definitely wouldn't stop working, I need my paycheck.

Iv researched this thing to death basically. Velocity stacks dont really help air go into an engine vrs volumn. The larger volumn the runner the higher its tune. So if you flare it making a stack you get more power on top and less on bottem. Now you can make air inducers which dont flare the pipe at all making its volumn the same. Its nothing more then a ring around the edge so air can come in around the edge easier. These are worth some truly free ponies. Its just whenever i try to do anything on a contour forum i get nothing but flack and its really irritating. I only get it here too thats the wierd thing. Sorry for snapping at you guys

Just saw this post, lol. Tell you what travis, you cut me a deal on this intake, and i'm not talking in half or anything but a good deal, I'll buy the dyno time and the intake and we can make the runs before the intake and after the install. to prove to these guys whether or not it will work. I mean if it will work on my damn near bone stock config and give some improvements then it will give them thier improvements as well. not to mention it will prove that it's a viable product for our cars. if it dowsn't work as hoped then all i'm out is dyno time and all your out is a drive and a project that didn't pan out. I'm ready and willing to document everything. if your interested then e-mail me or send me a pm.

Take it easy guy, I'm just trying to add to the conversation. Your initial pics weren't exactly of an optimal design. So I asked about velocity stacks. I also brought them up because we don't have much room for mounting and excess plenum size, so using the stacks will help cut down on external runner length. As I stated earlier, its VERY NICE that you're doing what you're doing. But if you think me (and I am sure most people) are going to slap down some major money just because you say it will work, you are sadly mistaken.
