I have the SMA Cold Air Intake, the same as the SCA. Any water that will come in from rain or what not, will just be kicked out your exhaust. Only thing that would be problem is if your whole filter is sitting in a Bucket of water. Its fine, just dont go swiming with the Car.

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm here Kevin? I actually drove around with it for a while and it is quite nice!

I am wondering how you can have a "Cold Air Intake" when it is down in an area where the fan will blow hot radiator air on it. Hot air induction??

Derk2000, got your message but saw no email to reply to.
If you want to keep your stock airbox but want more air, may want to consider running a short 1 3/4 inch diameter piece of flexable hose from the bottom of the black fenderwell boot to the bottom (near the opening) of the conical air box. I was thinking about this plan before going the KKM /custom airbox route. Previously I ran 2 long 1 3/4 inch pipes from the front airdam into the lower portions of the stock airbox. Seemed to get more air in as evidenced by a 1-2 MPG increase in fuel economy, same as with my KKM. But if I were to do it over again, I think I would do the way I suggested above. This will of course slightly mutilate your airbox so think carefully.

BTW, Brad is currently "smoothing out" a throttle body for me. I'll post feedback when its on.
