Hey all,

I was just wondering how difficult it is to replace the mouldings on the door at the bottom of the windows. Mine look as though there is a metal piece in the moulding and it is starting to corrode. the mouldings are starting to come away from the doors at the corners. I don't know if someone has attempted to remove them before and couldn't or if it is just wear and tear.

Thanks in advance

At the bottom of each window? That black rubber piece?

It pulls out, but be very careful! It's sort of a piece of metal I believe, surrounded by rubber and some white powdery stuff...

If you bend it, it stays bent and can be hard to get back into shape. I seriously doubt you can get new, but you can check the salvage yards, maybe something better.

Mine are rough at the window edges too...

Um go to
www.SignatureLM.com
(You know Bill Jenkins old place of work)
I have inquired about getting some and they have them listed for about $10.00 each...
Look under collision parts, glass, then belt with strip..

Easy to pop in and out.

Roll your windows down all the way and it's a lot easier to pop them in & out. Be careful though to not bend them too much. IIRC, I paid ~$15 for the front drivers side piece about 4 yrs ago from the dealer. Oddly, this one piece is bulging again.
